Tyler Jewell will probably be forever known as “Hot Deer Boy” by the Texas racing community. This Texas Tough rider hit a deer crossing the road on one of the 40 mph descents at the Lago Vista Primavera Road Race. He is still recovering with at least 11 spots of road rash, a hairline fracture to the elbow, possible fractures to the back, and a tweaked pelvis. Meanwhile, as the deer were scampering off to other areas of the course, the Lone Star Works girls were hittin’ it hard putting the pressure on the women’s open field. Notice the left over road rash on the right thigh of the tri-athlete in red from the Pace Bend crash 2 weeks ago. Tracie got a little excited and missed a turn with her break away, but she came back the next day to take a very close 2nd place. Michelle loves to do her left hand side attacks. Notice how she induces the “side tongue hanging out of the mouth” move on her opponents. Great job for the weekend ladies. Sorry I had to miss it, but the dirt at St. Jo was calling me.
